I moved to St. Louis a year after a Ferguson police officer killed 18-year-old Mike Brown, sparking an uprising that led to global outcry and a national movement for Black lives. In the years that followed, I documented vigils and protests across the region — because even though most cameras left, people did not stop fighting for racial equality and criminal justice reform.
